Jill’s Professional Bio


Jill Pagano is dedicated to helping people optimize the experience and connection they have with their body.

Whether for greater happiness, rehabilitation or athletic performance, Jill’s accumulated decades of experience in the health and fitness field are shared over three areas: A Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM), a Movement Educator (AiM, Anatomy in Motion),  a MELT Method Instructor sharing Hands-Off Bodywork (R).

Comfortable presenting and teaching to large groups or small individualize session, Jill combines her in-depth experience with contagious delight for the human body and an authentic compassionate communication-style.

Professionally Speaking

  • Started her fitness career, teaching aerobics (at her sorority) and working in the campus weight room at University of Idaho, 1987
  • Trained and mentored by the Seattle guru of group exercise, Kari Anderson, teaching ”aerobics” and personal training at ProRobics for 10 years (1989-1999).
  • Quit her marketing “day” job, in 1992, and began started Iron & Oxygen, her personal training business, eventually specializing in post-rehab training.
  • Helped hundreds of injured and once-ill people get back in the swing of fitness again as a post-rehab personal trainer (from 1992-1998).
  • Has earned all six Nia Technique Belt Levels: White, Green, Blue, Brown, Black and Red (Trainer) and has repeated a few …for good measure.
  • Courted her destiny in becoming a Nia White Belt Trainer and became part of the Nia Technique Teaching Faculty in Nov. 2011-2015.
  • Founded, The Center for Movement & Healing, in West Seattle, in January of 2013.
  • 2013 became a Certified MELT Method Instructor helping people embrace a natural pain relief method.
  • 2015 Certified Personal Trainer with The American College of Sports Medicine with the intent to return to rehabilitative and corrective exercise specialties.
  • 2016 returned to Exercise Rehab with a position at Rainier Chiropractic, Seattle WA
